We've been involved in the recruitment of creative teams for over 10 years now. It's quite an unusual process finding 2 people a job in the same company at the same time. What never fails to amaze us is how close the best creative teams are. They are a partnership in its truest sense. They probably spend more time together than with their spouses!
Whilst we were searching for the next big creative team to join one of our clients in Manchester we got to thinking - who are the best duos or teams that we've come across outside of the creative world, old or new. We came up with some real gems - take a look.
7. Starsky and Hutch
The younger readers may not have a clue who we are on about but if you're 40 something you'll remember the red Ford Gran Torino and the weekly slide over the bonnet. Creative brief? "Do it".
6. Mario and Luigi
This Nintendo double act have been together through fire-throwing plants and dinosaur/turtle cross breeds - it's all love with these guys! Try and beat your 9 year old on the Wii and you'll be left tearing your hair out!
5. Dolce and Gabbana
As dedicated followers of fashion here at The Book we don't think you can beat Billionaire fashion designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana. Supremely creative they surely make one of the top design teams in the world.
4. Lennon and McCartney
Legendary musicians John Lennon and Paul McCartney make the list, well because why wouldn't they? Creative- absolutely!
3. Tom and Jerry
The pair from the never ending cartoon rat-race (literally) are the definition of team (apart from the bit where they never work together, cause each other trouble and have spent the past 75 years hating each other and not talking). However we all know William Hanna and Joseph Barbera are the creative team behind this lifelong success.
2. Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak
The true creatives out there will be no strangers to Apple founders Steve and Steve. They were key players in the innovation of technology with the now multi-billion dollar brand they started which was officially the biggest brand in the world in 2013.
