Geometric shapes and patterns have been around (again) for a number of years and are showing no signs of disappearing just yet. They are uniform, designed with straight lines and curves and are pleasing on the eye. (Most people are more comfortable with symmetry!)
Organic shapes on the other hand are imperfect and irregular. There is however exceptions to all rules and there are occasions that geometric shapes occur naturally, for example snowflakes and diamonds.
Geometric shapes are simple and can be applied in so many ways within designs - as individual elements, within logos, as borders or backgrounds, within fonts, in print or online etc. There are no hard and fast rules on their use – they can be mixed up, using different colours, combination of angles…
Not sure about you, but we like it!
