Sometimes we come across work that really catches our eye. It may be visually compelling or strong typographically, have amazing copy or present a bit of a challenge. Well, this work from Claire Goldschmidt ticks pretty much all the boxes.

These beautiful typographic, lyrical clocks are based on songs about time from bands in three different time zones. She produces these by laser-cutting from white acrylic board the typefaces which are from the original cover art of each band's most popular album. And the ultimate finishing touch is that the clock hand design is based on that of a famous clock in each city.

What a wonderful well thought out piece that looks modern and fresh, and it's fun working out which band it is! Answers on our comments below folks - no prizes other than a serious amount of geek value.
